Because of the previous year's fiasco, Michellin gave away some 20,000 free seats to the race.
We showed up to Indy with seats, but we lucked out.

2006 was the first year of F1 racing for American newcomer, Scott Speed (the only better name for him would be Speed Racer!).
Unfortunately, Scott was caught up in the accident at the start of the race, so we didn't get to see much of him.
Otherwise, it ended up being another Ferrari 1 - 2, with Michael Schumacher winning his last race here in the US.
